Green Lake Dizzy Daze 50k

I ran my first official Ultra Marathon distance run this weekend (50k or 31 miles...we went a bit long for 32 miles) in Seattle. I ran it in 4:43:12. Mom and Dad stopped by for the end and took pictures for Ricki (who really wanted to be there). This was the ugliest section, through a parking lot. The rest was a beautiful trail around Green lake. It was only 3.2 miles long so we had to complete 10 laps.


My sadistic ritual of ice baths was enhanced by the beautiful view. All the rowers (who had just finished their workout) were making jokes about people who run for 5 hours then stand in near freezing water. But nothing beats it for a quick recovery. Besides once you are numb it really isn't that bad. The excellent logo and shirt. Why do I do this? For the shirt of course.

A Night out and First soccer game

Ok so this is a picture that Brig took of my night out with a girl friend.

Brig thought it was weird that I was going out with a girl and not Bard. I would have much rather have gone out with Bard but, he is in Seattle this weekend. Maybe next week. It was fun though. I bought 2 new church outfits at Anne Taylor and then went to The Olive Garden for dinner. It was a great break.

Brig's first soccer game went well. He made the first goal of the game and season.

I can't believe I actually got the shot and it turned out good. Go me. He did a great job and we can't wait to go to more game.

New Blog

Ok! I finally did it. I started a BLOG.  It wasn't that hard, I just needed to sit down and do it! So today has been uneventful, besides having to leave the house for an hour and a half so someone could look at it. I think this is suppose to be a good thing, except when you don't have a clue where you want to end up than it can be a little nerve racking. Brig built a ship today for his show and tell and wanted me to post it. He was pretty excited about it.
